Ingredients:- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- 3/4 of water or more if needed
- 2 t. salt
- 4 T. oil
- 1 cup cheese, shredded
- 1 tomato, sliced
- 1 T. pizza masti
- Extra whole wheat flour for dusting
In a bowl combine flour, water, salt and 2 T. oil. Knead well until dough becomes soft, this will take about 5 minutes. In a small bowl, mix cheese and pizza masti. Keep aside.
Divide dough into 8 balls. Take one dough ball and dust it in the flour and roll with a rolling pin to a 6 "circle. Place a couple of slices of tomato and sprinkle 1-2 T. of cheese mixture. Roll out another piece of dough and place on top of tomato and cheese to form a dough sandwich. Crimp the borders together and seal with your fingers well.
In a small sauté pan, drizzle oil and place paratha on the pan on medium heat. Cook on one side for 3-4 minutes while pressing down and then flip. Cook on the other side for 2 minutes until golden brown. Repeat with remaining dough balls to make all the parathas. Enjoy warm!
